Sue Knowles

Hello,
My name is Sue Knowles and I am the Educational Leader and Teacher of the four year old group at Waverley Meadows Pre School.

My teaching philosophy is based around the Reggio Emilia approach to learning.
I have been fortunate to travel to Reggio Emilia itself and work under the guidance and tutorage of Carla Rinaldi herself as well as her associates. This amazing opportunity provided me with a natural insight into the workings and theories associated with the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, and has inspired me to return to Australia and share my knowledge with today’s children.
 

My aim is to provide each child entering our centre with rich varied experiences that challenge children’s thinking and motivate them to want to learn more. Working with the young children of today allows growth within myself every time we come together to play.

It is my great pleasure to share this approach to learning and thinking with each child that attends our centre.
It is my hope that these children will discover the magic of childhood and develop a life long love of learning starting here, with us at Waverley Meadows Pre School.
