A Bit About Me
My name is Sarah Stoddart and I am proud to be the three year old teacher at Waverley Meadows Preschool. I lead the 3YO Kookaburras group as well as the D4 Possums group.
I joined the teaching team at Waverley Meadows in 2020 after completing my final teaching placement at the centre in 2019. I bring a passion for inspiring young learners, a love of technology and a desire to nurture young minds in their first foray into formal education.
As Loris Malaguzzi said:
“The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences. We must widen the range of topics and goals, the types of situations we offer and their degree of structure, the kinds and combinations of resources and materials, and the possible interactions with things, peers, and adults.”
(Loris Malaguzzi - The Hundred Languages of Children)
I believe that all children are confident and capable learners and with the right level of support and nurturing can achieve great things.
I am a mother myself to three young children (aged 9, 7 and 3) and have volunteered on Preschool Committees of Management.
I am looking forward to getting to know the current and future children and families of the Waverley Meadows community and helping the children in the class of 2021 and beyond navigate their way through the 3 year old Kindergarten Program.
